Synopsis：Elvira returns from France hoping to surprise her father Vincent, only to discover he plans to marry his secretary Bianca. She witnesses Bianca and Mason nearly run over workers and destroy a rare Dante manuscript Vincent bought for her. Not knowing who she is, they, with Gregory’s help, cruelly torment her—ruining her painting, injuring her hand, smashing her watch, gluing paper to her face, and trying to strip her. When Elvira finally reveals her identity, no one believes her. Vincent walks past his battered daughter without recognizing her and leaves arm in arm with Bianca.
