简介：Olympian priestess Serena sleeps with the poisoned war god Ares to save his life and unexpectedly becomes pregnant. To protect her unborn child, she strikes a bargain with the Fates, trading away her memories and lifespan, forgetting who the father is. When she returns to Olympus, Serena discovers her best friend Hera has stolen her identity, while the cold war god finds himself strangely drawn to her and insists they pretend to be engaged and live together. Day by day, quiet feelings grow between them. When her memories resurface, Serena learns she has only six months left to live and pushes Ares away with icy indifference, unwilling to burden him. After pain and searching, Ares still vows to keep her by his side. As an army of fallen gods marches on Olympus, Hera tears open every lie. Facing a dying Serena, Ares makes his ultimate choice: “If giving up my throne as god of war can save you, I’d rather live as a mortal.”
