Synopsis：After the victory of the War of Resistance Against Japan, various forces still entrenched themselves in the vast snowy plains of Northeast China, including the ruthless bandits of the Jiushan Shibagang and some wavering middle forces caught between the Kuomintang and the Communist Party. Yang Jianfeng, a reconnaissance platoon leader of the Northeast Democratic Coalition Army, was assigned to a bandit suppression mission. Under the leadership of political commissar Wu Rundong, Yang Jianfeng fearlessly ventured deep into enemy territory, outsmarting and combating the bandits. He appealed to the wavering forces led by Danniang, the female chieftain of Menghu Mountain, through reason, emotion, and a show of force.
