Synopsis：Fugui is a carpenter who settled in the city through hard work. His elderly mother lives with them, but due to her bad legs, she rarely goes out. The day before Wu Tong came to Fugui’s home, Fugui learned that his mother had been missing for several days. In her younger days, Fugui’s mother was overly selfish, mistreating the elderly in the family, which left psychological scars on young Fugui. Fugui has conflicted feelings toward his mother—on one hand, she is his mother, old and infirm; on the other hand, she is not a kind old woman and often clashes with Fugui’s wife, creating a tense household. After much thought, Fugui decides to bring his mother back from the shelter. Through her recent experiences, Fugui’s mother begins to realize the mistakes she has made.
