Synopsis：When a filthy locker room “how‑to” meant for teammate Jude leaks, MLB draft prospect Tate Walsh takes the fall. Gideon Mercer—Tate’s honorary uncle, emergency contact, and the wealthy donor silencing the scandal—shuts it down, then drags the guide home and orders Tate to explain every line. Tate thinks it’s punishment; Gideon is actually jealous. After Jude says, “Your uncle’s in love with you,” Tate starts to see the truth. Then his runaway mother returns with a harsher twist: Tate was never a Mercer. Gideon knew all along—and he’s done pretending to be an uncle.
