简介：Set in the mid-Ming dynasty, "Wuzhu zhi Zhan" tells the story of an emperor who is forced to suspend court affairs under the coercion of the Grand Secretariat and the Eastern Depot. The eunuch faction led by Zhang Jing, chief of the Eastern Depot, and the cabinet faction headed by Wang Zuo, the Grand Secretary, struggle for power. Zhao Chongxi, the chief commander of the Jinyiwei (the Imperial Guard), tries to remain neutral and stay loyal to the emperor, but the Jinyiwei has already been infiltrated by multiple moles from both sides. A conflict that outwardly takes place between the Northern and Southern Jinyiwei commands, but behind the scenes, is a power struggle between the eunuchs and the cabinet, begins to unfold.
