简介：Tian Xiaodou is a left-behind child. After his parents divorced, his father went out to work and never came back to see him. He lives at home with his grandparents. Often missing his father, Tian Xiaodou tells his grandfather, who is busy with farm work. His grandfather says to him, "When you can go play at the dam by yourself, your father will come back to see you." Tian Xiaodou sets out alone toward the distant gully. After walking for two days and two nights, he finally finds the dam. During these two days, he encounters a strange uncle who hikes and sings out of tune, a working uncle rushing home to see his children, and kind-hearted Xiao Xue and her mother. Now grown up, Tian Xiaodou stands under the grapevine tree at home, reminiscing about his childhood. He realizes he has grown up, and no matter how bitter his childhood was, it is still worth remembering.
