简介：During the Republican era, on the Zhongyuan Festival (Ghost Festival), a dimly lit opera stage in Taiping County was performing a "shadow play for the Ghost King of Yinshan." Coinciding with the birthday of Police Chief Fang Jingru (Zhang Zijian), the chief's son disrupted the troupe and forcibly occupied the theater to celebrate. As everyone was immersed in jubilation, a burning living person descended from above the stage, eerily resembling the image of the Ghost King being set ablaze in the performance.
