The army was divided into two columns: one led by General Li Xianzhong to attack Lingbi, and the other led by Shao Hongyuan to attack Hongxian. Li Xianzhong moved swiftly and soon captured Lingbi through superior tactics. His troops, known for their compassion toward the people, were warmly welcomed by the residents with food and drink upon entering the city. During their stay, Li Xianzhong's forces met a group of young heroes, including a young swordsman named Li and Yue Yimping, all descendants of the Yue Family Army once led by Yue Fei. This group ran the Feiyun Inn in Lingbi and gathered frontline battle intelligence. As they celebrated together, news arrived that General Shao Hongyuan's northern campaign against Hongxian had encountered obstacles.
