简介：Louise Pendleton is a stunning socialite with a taste for luxury, but beneath her glamorous exterior lies a cold and greedy heart. She and her spoiled daughter, Lana, burn through the family fortune while neglecting the ailing Mr. Pendleton, who is confined to his upstairs room. One day, Louise hires a modest young maid, Eliza, to care for the bedridden patriarch—unaware that Eliza is actually his daughter from his first marriage, a secret known only to Mr. Pendleton and his lawyer. Eliza’s arrival brings him a glimmer of hope, as she reminds him of his lost great love, her mother. For years he tried everything to find his first wife and their child, but was ruthlessly constrained by his late father. Not long after Eliza enters the household, David, the handsome heir of a powerful conglomerate and a long-time friend of the Pendleton family, comes by with a message from his own father. The moment David lays eyes on Eliza, he is captivated, and an intense attraction quickly sparks between them. David and Lana grew up together, and Lana has always dreamed of becoming his girlfriend—but he has never returned her feelings. When David falls for Eliza, Lana’s jealousy and resentment ignite into a dangerous hatred…
