简介：Caroline has just picked up the engagement ring she ordered and can’t wait to show it to her fiancé, Matthew. But when she arrives at his apartment, she catches him in bed with her stepsister, Alexis. Devastated, she storms out, only to be struck by a speeding motorcycle. At that moment, Jack, who happens to be inspecting his company’s apartment nearby, rushes in and saves her life. In the hospital, Caroline immediately breaks off the engagement. She also stops a thief from stealing an elderly patient’s wallet and befriends the woman, Nancy. When Nancy scolds her newly arrived grandson Jack for his messy appearance, Caroline assumes Jack is poor and down on his luck. Days later, Caroline learns her stepmother, Joana, is scheming to take over Rosewood, the company her late mother left behind. Cornered, she boldly asks Jack to marry her so she can protect the company. Rosewood eventually falls into her hands, but it’s already in serious decline. As Caroline and Jack fight side by side to revive her mother’s legacy, she discovers that Jack is actually the heir of the powerful Stone family. Just as their love begins to deepen, Joana launches one sabotage after another to destroy their marriage. In the end, Caroline and Jack overcome every plot, save the family business, and begin a new, hard-won, happy life together.
