简介：Timothy is adopted by the wealthy Snyder family and grows up devoted to his three older sisters—until their long-lost biological son, Matthew, returns and turns them against him with lies and manipulation. Cast out and blamed for sins he never committed, Timothy still repays their kindness: he risks his life to save them, shields them from disaster, and finally secretly volunteers for “Project Hail Mary,” a one-way mission that needs his rare gene to find a new home for humanity. Only after he’s gone do the Snyders uncover Matthew’s schemes and Timothy’s silent sacrifices. Thirty years later, Timothy succeeds on Planet Artemis and is celebrated as a hero, while his family back on Earth must live with the weight of their betrayal and the son they lost forever.
