简介：On what should have been a joyful birthday, Dr. Gabe White faces the most brutal choice of his life when his wife, Wendy Green, and their daughter, Jane White, are critically injured in a car crash with Nora Yale and her son, Randy—who were also on their way to celebrate his special day. Rushing to the scene as a doctor, Gabe makes a devastating decision: he chooses to save Nora and Randy first. Jane dies from her injuries, and Gabe dismisses Wendy’s grief as irrational jealousy, even considering divorce as their marriage begins to fall apart. Seizing the moment, Nora—hiding her own secret motives—moves in to manipulate Gabe and drive a deeper wedge between the couple, pushing matters so far that she causes a public scene at Jane’s funeral and is taken away by the police. Later, an unexpected discovery of Jane’s file at the hospital shatters Gabe’s denial; by the time he truly confronts the reality of his daughter’s death, all that remains is overwhelming regret and an irretrievable loss.
