简介：Carol is a part-time food delivery worker who has just lost her mother and is now saddled with her medical debts. By chance, she helps an elderly man, who turns out to be the grandfather of the richest man in Denton. To repay her kindness, the old man arranges a marriage of convenience between his grandson Nigel and Carol, offering $200,000 to clear her debts. Under family pressure, Nigel reluctantly agrees and hides his true identity from her. As they begin living together, their feelings slowly grow, but Nigel’s secret hangs over them like a ticking time bomb. Visits from Nigel’s mother and a glamorous party hosted by his company only heighten Carol’s suspicions, leading to a string of tense yet comical misunderstandings as the truth edges closer to the surface.
