简介：Since birth, Lily has been branded a liar by her mother, all because of a so‑called lie‑detecting bracelet. Whenever Lily speaks the truth—whether she’s hungry, hurt, or begging for help—the device flashes red and viciously shocks her. Her twin sister Ruby wears a fake bracelet that glows green nonstop, so their mother adores Ruby as the “honest” child, while Ruby secretly frames Lily for theft and destruction. Blinded by pseudoscience and favoritism, Mom locks Lily away and dismisses her suffering. On New Year’s Eve, Lily’s appendix ruptures; she screams in agony as the bracelet blares red, but Mom calls it a tantrum, locks her in, and goes out to watch fireworks. Lily dies alone, leaving her final truths in a diary. Three days later, Mom discovers Lily’s body, the diary, and the horrifying secret: the bracelet never detected lies at all—it only reacted to fear and pain. Ruby’s reassuring green bracelet was just a useless toy. When Mom puts on Lily’s blood‑stained bracelet, every self‑deception and denial triggers red lights and electric shocks. Crushed by guilt, she spirals into madness, mutilates herself, and in a rage attacks Ruby; Ruby flees, is struck by a truck, and is left permanently disabled. Their father loses everything and dies in despair. In the end, Mom passes away clutching Lily’s diary, while Lily’s spirit finally escapes the nightmare of the bracelet, rising to a place of eternal peace—no more pain, no more lies, only freedom.
