简介：In an ice-choked, post-apocalyptic wasteland, Elara hides a lethal secret: fire runs in her veins, making her the last living source of warmth on Earth. Kael, the Citadel’s deadliest and most emotionless cryo-assassin, is sent to erase her—but a brutal confrontation fuses their fates when her burning blood spills into his frozen system. Now a vicious curse shackles them together: if they stray more than ten meters apart, his body will erupt in flames and she will instantly freeze. To stay alive, this perfect killing machine must do the one thing he was never built for—keep his target dangerously close. As endless frozen nights force them into raw, skin-to-skin contact, Kael’s cold survival instinct twists into a dark, consuming hunger. He was engineered to feel nothing, yet each time he strips away his armor to drink in her heat, he realizes he would watch the whole world burn and shatter in ice if it meant keeping her alive. She was his mission—but now, she is his only cure.
