简介：Seven years ago, a mortal girl named Chloe saved the Sea God Poseidon when he was gravely wounded. In gratitude, Poseidon vowed to return in seven years and make her his bride. When that day finally comes, he descends to the mortal world disguised as a wealthy noble named “Payson” to find Chloe, who now serves humbly as a handmaiden in his temple. But love between gods and mortals is strictly forbidden, and Chloe, terrified of divine punishment, repeatedly rejects his sincere advances. Their romance soon faces one trial after another: the jealous noblewoman Dora schemes against Chloe, Poseidon’s powerful mother Rhea forcefully intervenes, and his divine fiancée Amphitrite even cruelly tortures and disfigures Chloe. To protect the woman he loves, Poseidon is willing to give up his godhood, endure heaven’s lightning, and stand against the gods themselves. In a desperate attempt to save Poseidon from execution, Chloe agrees to marry Kael, a rich upstart. On their wedding day, however, Kael drugs her and attempts to assault her—until Poseidon arrives in time, rescues Chloe, and they finally surrender to their love. At the climax, Poseidon unleashes his full divine might to defeat Zeus, who tries to use the scandal as a pretext to kill him. When Rhea discovers that Chloe is pregnant with a divine child, she must accept that their union is fated. Forced to yield, Zeus abolishes the ancient law that forbids love between gods and mortals. The story ends with a magnificent beach wedding, as Poseidon and Chloe celebrate their hard‑won happily‑ever‑after by the sea.
