简介：Engaged for three years, I once believed Lorenzo—the man who took a bullet for me—was my salvation. Until the night he toyed with me in the car, then dumped me like trash in rival gang territory. Those three years of devotion were nothing but a lie. To protect his so‑called “sister‑in‑law” Sophia, he stole my pregnancy medication and watched me hit the table and lose our baby. To vent for Sophia, he locked me in a water tank at an underground club and let the crowd bid: “The Saint of House Valenti, starting at one dollar.” My heart died that night. I shattered the glass, grabbed his enemy Antonio’s hand, drenched in blood: “Take me away. I’ll help you kill him.” When I came back, a black datura flower was tattooed on my lower back. Lorenzo knelt, begging me to come home. I drew my blade across his flesh. “This cut is for the child you killed.”
