简介：In Laswell City, a string of bizarre homicides shocks the public: every victim’s skeleton is deliberately shattered. Forensic anthropologist Evelyn teams up with Detective Jack, only to discover that all of the dead are tied to the St. Anna Sanatorium fire twenty years ago—the blaze that was officially ruled an “accident” and took her parents’ lives. As Evelyn reads the truth hidden in the bones, a darker story emerges: the sanatorium once ran illegal human experiments under the guise of medical treatment, and its director, Marcus, set the fire to erase all evidence. Evelyn learns her parents never died in the flames; they were murdered by Marcus after uncovering his crimes. Just as she and Jack close in on the full truth, the true mastermind finally steps out of the shadows—Lilith, the only unharmed survivor of the fire, and the architect of a revenge plot that has been simmering for twenty years.
