Su Xia, a 27-year-old top secretary, is diagnosed with early menopause as a result of work-related stress. After some serious reflection, she decides it’s time to start living for herself. With a little help from alcohol, she boldly sets her sights on her cold, sharp-tongued boss, Zhou Jibai, seeing him as the “cure” she needs, and successfully wins him over.
Once sober, Su Xia decides she will no longer tolerate the high-pressure job she has endured for five years. Instead, she embraces a carefree lifestyle of getting paid while prioritizing her health and doing the bare minimum whenever possible.
Faced with a Secretary Su who spends her days soaking her feet, drinking tea, and even turning workplace pressure back on her boss, the once untouchable Zhou Jibai finds himself completely unable to resist. In fact, he becomes increasingly drawn to her vibrant and free-spirited nature.
As the two engage in an evenly matched battle of wits in the workplace, Zhou Jibai willingly becomes Su Xia’s strongest supporter. In the end, they confess their feelings to each other and choose to move forward together.
