简介：The Olympus priestess Serena spends the night with the poisoned God of War, Ares, to save him—and unexpectedly becomes pregnant. To protect her child, she strikes a deal with the Fates, trading away her memories and lifespan so she forgets who the baby’s father is. When she is forced back to Olympus, Serena discovers her friend Hera has stolen her identity, while the cold-hearted Ares finds himself inexplicably drawn to Serena and coerces her into pretending to be his fiancée. Living together day after day, their feelings quietly grow. Once Serena’s memories return, she learns she only has six months left to live. Determined not to burden Ares, she pushes him away. After pain and trials, Ares still swears to stay by her side. When the army of fallen gods attacks Olympus and Hera exposes every lie, Ares sees Serena on the brink of death and makes his final choice: “If giving up my throne as God of War can save you, I would rather become an ordinary mortal.”
